Cosplay Crisis!

Okay... so I planned to cosplay as Miku (Magnet Version) for the second day of Anime Festival Asia this year... Key word: PLANNED
What happened today was, I finally saved enough to get it, and was super confident that I would fit (I had the exact measurements+I thought the costume would be stretchy)
SPOILER WARNING:I couldn't fit into it. I know, I know... I should have asked to try it on first before purchasing it. In my defence, I had a curfew and had no business staying out past 6 and Eunos is quite a distance away from my house. Okay, maybe a little weak on the defence there, but I really thought that it was fine. The shock came when I tried to costest it at home, as I would with any other new cosplay that I get. I fit into the inner skirt fine, but when I got to the dress, I couldn't even zip the thing up \(TAT)/ Why, God, why must you test my limits like this?! Biology was manageable today and somehow I feel that it was at the expense of this cosplay outfit.
Anyway, I was thrown into a frenzy. I was panicking, I NEEDED a cosplan by today and get it by Friday or else I am not cosplaying this year, and I want anything but that happening to me. I went on Carousell to cut my prices for my Ciel Female Cosplay to get people to take it away from me by Friday so I have the cash to look for other cosplays, plus the 75% refund from the seller (She was nice enough to do that because I messed up *^* Bless her soul) It was like Christmas in November, when an angel decided to message me 1 hour after I slashed my prices from $110 to $80 to rent the costume (I told her I wanted to sell it and she changed her mind to buy it off me) and arranged a meet up on Thursday after my Biology Paper 3 examinations.
With this, I began to plan my arrangements to make sure I have something by Anime Festival Asia itself. I browsed the cosplay market on Facebook for the good deals that pop up around AFA season. I couldn't believe my luck! I spotted a Nishikino Maki Idolised Fairy cosplay (FULL SET mind you, full set!) for only $50 if I made arrangements to meet on Friday. Since I had a Maki wig that would be suitable from my Arabian Idolised cosplay, I could buy the rest of the set for only $43! It was a blessing in disguise, indeed :D
TLDR; Cosplan failed because I messed up with assumptions, kind people saved the day and I have new cosplans for Anime Festival Asia at long last (3 hours of panic)
So, that's what happened today, and I thought it would serve as a lesson for me and a warning to cosplayers out there buying cosplays off Carousell: ALWAYS request to try the cosplay on before purchasing! xD On that note, I'll sign off, have a wonderful day!
